TOFA Conference

In 2025, TOFA marks its 30th anniversary. To acknowledge this milestone, the annual Stage à la plage will adopt a slightly different format. The day will begin with a morning of targeted professional development sessions, followed by an afternoon of networking and celebration.

This revised program offers an opportunity for members to engage in meaningful learning while also recognising the association’s three decades of contribution to the profession.

The theme we have chosen for this year’s conference is:

“La langue en action: Coeur, corps et culture”

This year’s theme invites us to refocus on the essential elements of language learning: genuine human connection, intercultural understanding, and the embodied experience of communication. In a world where technology often risks disconnecting the learner from the physical, emotional, and cultural dimensions of language acquisition, we seek to bring the heart, body, and culture back into the centre of our teaching practices.
