TOFA Conference

The  FATFA bi-annual national conference will be held in Perth on November 22nd-23rd 2024, in collaboration with TOFAWA.

Our theme this year is

‘Embarquement immédiat: Vers de nouveaux horizons pédagogiques’

‘Now boarding: Towards new pedagogies and educational destinations’

We chose this theme to highlight the similarities between traveling and learning: the joy of exploring and meeting new people, discovering new concepts, but also the fear of the unknown and the challenges of accepting different ways of doing things.

The covid years are now behind us but they have left us all transformed: Traveling is no longer taken for granted. Meanwhile, the use of technology in education is skyrocketing and those who are not getting onboard may be left behind. But questions remain… What destination are we all headed towards? 

TOFA WA (Teachers of French Association WA) in partnership with FATFA are pleased to open the Call for papers for the 2024 National Conference. We are looking for innovative and passionate speakers who can present in-person workshops. Topics include but are not limited to:

• Digital learning (e.g. gamification, AI, VR).
• Blended/Hybrid learning
• CLIL
• Project-based pedagogy in the Languages classroom
• Exploring new horizons and collaborations (e.g inter-school, interstate, overseas initiatives)
• Fostering/developing intercultural skills

Submissions (maximum 300 words in French or English) are to be emailed to tofawa.au@gmail.com no later than 10/05/2024.

The TOFA WA Committee invites all conference ticket holders to our Dinner Soirée on Friday 22nd of November, at Matilda Bay Restaurant.

The restaurant is located by the Swan River and offers stunning views of the Perth skyline. More surprises to come!
