Stage à la Plage 2018 A community of French Teachers in WA

STAGE À LA PLAGE 2018 aura lieu vendredi, 18ème mai 2018 aux Tompkins on Swan!

We are proud to invite all WA teachers of French to participate in the TOFA annual conference and professional development, Friday 18 May 2018.

8am – 5pm: Conference
From 6pm: Awards, Raffle, Dinner et Dance

Concurrent sessions are 40 minutes in duration (40-minute workshop: 35-minute presentation and 5-minute questions). Sessions are in the form of a presentation of literature (lecture style of research or current practice) or workshops (practical and interactive session) of 40 minutes in total. Each time slot offers the choice of three different topics, catering to various levels of teachers.

This one-day conference will:

  • provide teachers with teaching strategies and hands-on activities for use in the French classroom
  • help teachers developing ideas for promoting the teaching of French
  • support teachers with the new curriculum in classrooms
  • consolidate networks for professional support
  • provide a certificate of participation

The conference will be followed by online collaboration amongst participants to liaise with colleagues and to share teaching approaches, resources, and activities.

TOFA will shortly announce the thème of the conference, in addition to opening up acceptance of submissions in February. As per previous years, there will be a diversity of topics and research on presentation suited to aide in the professional development of all levels of teachers and lecturers.

This one-day professional development will also provide participants with the access to all contributions, papers, and resources on TOFA website.

  • Non-members: $290
